CUSTOMER SERVICE & EMERGENCY SERVICE
Our regular customer service office hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm each weekday. Please call our office should you have questions regarding your service(s), bill, water quality, etc. We are happy to help!
24/7 water emergency service is always available. Please call 541-382-3029 to be given further instructions.
In the event of vacations or absences, please contact our office in advance to plan for extended shut off to help prevent leaks. We recommend that you locate your personal water shut off to familiarize yourself with how to shut off your water in case of an emergency leak. Furthermore, we highly encourage our customers to install a personal water shut off gate valve for this purpose. A gate valve may be installed by a certified plumber.
RATES & BILLING
Our monthly domestic base rate is $36.82 for water meters less than one inch in size. The commodity usage charge is $1.33 per 100 cubic feet. 100 cubic feet equals 748 gallons. All other rates are available on our website or by calling our office to learn more.
Our billing date is approximately the 22nd of each month, and payment is typically due on the 10th of the following month. Payments are due within 15 days following the mail date of the bill. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the company has proper contact information so that your bill is received each month and we can contact you with urgent information if necessary.
Upon receipt of your first bill, you can register on our website to set up a customer portal. In your customer portal, you can select e-statements and set up auto pay if you wish. Payment can be made by:
Auto pay (credit card or checking account)
Credit card (via phone or in office)
Check (via mail, dropbox or in office); please note that if you use your bank’s online bill pay function, your bank mails a check to us; please allow adequate time for mailing payments.
Cash (in office only)
If payment is not received by the due date, a 2.4% monthly late fee may be charged on the past due amount. You will receive a notice with a corresponding shut-off date if payment has not been made by the date of the next bill. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE THE SHUT-OFF DATE OR SERVICE WILL BE DISCONNECTED. In case of hardship, please contact us to inquire about an extended payment plan contract. Please contact us to plan before your account status is delinquent. Roats Water System requires at least five business days’ notice to cancel an account. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WATER SERVICE IN YOUR NAME UNTIL YOU CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT.
